Vindicate Media was first created in 2004 as a media presence for the semi professional halo 2 team, Vindicate Gaming. After playing in scrims against some of the best halo 2 players in the world, we needed a way to show our foootage and gain more exposure in the scene. Thus, Vindicate Media was formed. The first film was done in Windows Movie Makers and was released to a community that had a small number of edited films. It wasn’t very good to say the least but has recieved over 5900 views since.
As the Vindicate Gaming roster changed, Vindicate Media brought in Kushal Bhatt (huntrKillr), Brian Kruse (Hephard), and Tony Grandov (Scorpio Hunter). In early 2005, Brian and Kush created one of the first dual montages which showcased both of their play styles and editing styles. It was one of the first movies to showcase as many multiple kills as it did. Previous movies had too many single kill shots so we put together a movie that wasn’t as boring and added in a lot of pro/semipro players while we were at it. This was extremely well recieved for its time because of the movies strong sync and gameplay leading it to have over 1000 downloads in the first week and over 200 comments. Many of the players included in the movie have since gone pro or semi pro on the Major League Gaming pro circuit.
In late 2005, Tony Grandov, who was a newer addition to the team created “Ultimatum” along with the help of the team for the Halo 3 Forum Film Contest. It featured gameplay against the best players in the world, phenomal sync to music, unique editing, and a large amount of killtaculars. The film won 4th place in the competition against It Was Luck and Peridous and Walshy.
In 2006 and 2007 the team disbanded ande everyone went their seperate ways. There was one clip of the week released in 2006 which again used effects nobody had seen before. However, this was not released as widely as the previous movies.
In 2007, Vindicate Media returned with a website and new attitude. We decided that we wanted to continue the VM name by helping gamers find inspiration and resources in order to create newer and fresher movies. Throughout our existence we have tried to push the bar of film making in the console community. We have returned to do just that.
Amitoj “Nemesis” Duggal joined our team in 2007 and is helping us improve the movie making scene in the Indian E-Sports community. He has since released the counter strike movie “The Chaos Theory” which has recieved over 1000 downloads and two Gotfrag competition movie clips. The first was “Gotfragged: Indian Roflcopter” which is a featured video in the Gotfrag Gameroom, has over 2,700 views, and a 4.5 rating. It won the first Gotfrag Film Contest Competition. The second film, “Pistology” did not make the top 5 in the second competition but has 4.75 rating in the Game Room.
Also, Kushal Bhatt has returned to making movies for the halo 3 scene and to write tutorials for aspiring moviemakers. We have released a few experimental clips. However, the first movie is coming in 2009. Stay tuned...
